Cute Little Kylie

Newborn shoots are a lot of work but yield incredible results. This little cutie did not disappoint. It was also quite heart warming that this session was a gift from a good friend of mine to our new mama - Megan. Enjoy!

Happy Happy Joy Joy

In times when work is difficult to find, one is always grateful to have a job. Well, I feel very fortunate to not only have a job, but also a second family. I have been with my full-time employer for over a decade now. Many of my coworkers have become much like family since mine are so far away (western Canada).
Art and Tina are what I call my "American Parents", so naturally I was very excited and honored when they asked me to photograph a brand new member of the family - grand baby Kinsley.

I must say she is not only a beautiful baby girl, she had the most wonderful disposition (especially for taking cute pictures).

Enjoy!

Everyone, meet Emma!

Every year the hospital I work for has an associate craft and gift bazaar. This year I had a raffle and the winner was a wonderful woman named Cindy, eagerly awaiting her new granddaughter - Emma.
I marked my calendar and kept in touch. In the blink of an eye she was here, it was time to meet her! Sometimes I feel a little devious... I just loooove new babies. They are so scrumptiously cute. Newborn photo sessions are secretly a little piece of joy for me. They are so precious, pure, and perfect... and Emma is no exception! The icing on the cake for this session was the classic head on chin pose - admittedly my first ever... could never have done it without an amazing set of parents, and a delightful great aunt.

Baby Brogen

Aaaahhh, it was so nice... back in the saddle with the first shoot of the year and a good dose of brand new baby sounds and smells! Thanks to my good friend Ashley, the blog is off and running again!

Finally!

Yes! The wedding pictures are finally done! I'm sure that Kari, Zack, and Staci are just as happy as I am to see the project finished...
Some hard work, great shots, plenty learned, and it's done. Only two days over the deadline - not bad for a first timer and a week in the hospital too.
Well, on to the next one. Time to get crackin' on Connie's senior portraits of her son, here we go!

And it begins...

I was a little bit nervous in the days leading up to Blakely's 3 month shoot. I had taken a bit of a break since the craziness of the fall and Christmas. I felt like I had to dust off some cobwebs and refresh my memory. I am very pleased at the results. Although I am not able to get my new LR3 software working yet... I will be using this shoot as my very first client gallery on the new website - super excited! Thanks for being such a great client Shelly.
