Sims Lake Senior Session

I would never wish time away - but I often wonder what it will be like when Dawson is all grown up and ready to "leave the nest". Today was one of those days that reminded me of that daydream. I had the pleasure of a great senior session with Linda and her son Jake. What an amazing moment in time; you are strong and full of life. You feel invincible at times and your future is literally what you are willing to make it. It is almost magical. A good majority of senior boys are not exactly thrilled when it comes to picture taking, but Jake did a great job - a real trooper. I try to make each session as fun as possible, and if that makes me the crazy lady rolling in the grass to get the shot, then so be it!

Giggles in the grass

I am very grateful to have several clients that are true blue and loyal... miss "Spaz" as we lovingly call her, has two very adorable children and it is time again for spring photos. These two always crack me up, and it just astounds me how quickly they are growing!

Spring has sprung!

Where do I even begin? This year began in doubt for me. I struggled to balance all the balls I had in the air and had succumbed to the realization that now was not the time for my photography. God has a plan for us all, and the harder we try to control it, the harder things become, until you get so overwhelmed you finally turn to him and he shows you the way.

I am certain there are many others out there just like me... I go round and round trying to manipulate my destiny, getting overcome and finally "giving it to God". I decided to take a step back. I took on less responsibility at work and stopped pounding the pavement for photo session opportunities. I was going to focus on my family and let whatever was meant to happen with F.E.P. happen...

Well, BAM! March brought us an early spring and word of mouth travels fast and furious. I am booked solid! Sessions are popping up left and right!

My goal now is to stay grounded, remember what comes first and thank God everyday for the life he has given me. Get ready for some fun and frequent photos as this spring rolls into summer!

Baby Brogen

Aaaahhh, it was so nice... back in the saddle with the first shoot of the year and a good dose of brand new baby sounds and smells! Thanks to my good friend Ashley, the blog is off and running again!
