Happy New Year everyone!
I have to admit 2012 has been a rather rough year. I remain optimistic that 2013 has better things ahead.
At the end of every year since I have started this journey with my photography, I have had to assess where it was going and how to balance it with the rest of my life... wife, mother, career. Although Fresh Eye Photography is currently a passionate hobby, my ultimate goal remains for it to be a full blown studio and business someday.
As time allows I am constantly fine tuning my skills and honing this craft. Even when I reach "success" I know that I will always be learning and improving. As the year progresses it is going to remain a push and pull with my other responsibilities, but please know that I value each and every one of you. I am honored to capture special moments for all my clients and will continue to strive to give you the very best quality in professional photography.
As I move forward, I have to continue to toughen my skin and make some difficult business decisions. It is no secret that we are all struggling with finances right now. Those that know me personally know that I am a bargain finder and deal hunter. I work hard for my money, so when I spend it, I better be getting a great deal or a top-quality product! I want to be very clear, I do understand that all of you are simply looking for the same.
I am happy to have every client that comes my way. I just want to take a moment to explain that what we are talking about is professional photography. When you are spending your hard earned money on capturing memories that will be there for you to hang on to and look back on when you need them most... this is the time you want a top-quality product and not just the best bargain deal.
Please take the time to do your research. I encourage everyone to "shop around". In the case of professional portrait photography - you really do get what you pay for. This is more than just picking up a camera and snapping some shots. If it were that easy, you would not be seeking a "professional photographer".
I won't bore you with just how much
really goes into each image you put on your wall. Let's just say, it's involved, and in order for this passion to become something that I can be proud of AND help support my family I have to move forward and refine my prices. On that note, I have made the following changes for 2013...
Session fees will be increasing by $25 and photo CD's will require a minimum print purchase of $75.
Print prices have also been adjusted to more closely match the market rates.
As always, I am easily reached via phone, text or email if you have questions, or concerns.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
I hope to see you in the new year and to capture some fantastic memories for you!
Sincerely Juanita Smith :)
